James W. Owens, 86, of Delray Beach, Florida passed from this life on the morning of April 10, 2024, after a long and brave battle with several health issues.  Jim died at home with his devoted and loving wife Barbara by his side.  He was predeceased by his Mother Mary Owens Cook, 2010; his Father James T. Owens, 2008 and his Son Christopher, 2000.

Jim is survived by his Best Friend and Loving Wife of 32 years, Barbara A. Owens; Daughter Lisa M. Gabriel, grandsons Jason and Kai Tarr; Son Marc Owens (Wendee) grandchildren Matthew and Kristi Owens, Carrisa (Lane Stewart) and Blake Campbell.  Stepsons John R. Presti Jr (Nancy) grandchildren Samantha and Johnny Presti III; Jay R. Presti (Carmen) grandchildren Rebecca Bulnes and Noah G. Presti; Brother-In-Law John R. Ventry Jr (Susan).  Jim also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends from his 34 years with IBM and 12 years working for H&R Block.
