James S. Posner, 79, of Delray Beach, passed away on Sept. 22, 2016. He is survived by his children, Jennifer Lawrence of Santa Monica, CA, and David Posner of San Francisco, CA, as well as his brother, Norman Posner of Hudson, NY. Jim was widowed twice: Renee, née Bruckenthal, was a loving mother to David and Jennifer before illness cut short her brave life; Andrea, née Sands, was his cherished partner in later years. He was predeceased by his parents, Lewis and Valeria, née Shapiro. Manhattan-born and Bronx-reared, Jim received his B.A. from Washington & Jefferson College and his J.D. from St. John's University. He worked for many years for the Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, serving both as Corporate Secretary and as a divisional Vice President & Counsel. He was a good man who loved big sandwiches and the opera and who will be missed by many.
