Janet Bonitati
Huly
October 6, 1932 — October 16, 2026
Delray Beach
Friday
South Florida National Cemetery
Starts at 10:30 am (Eastern time)
Janet Bonitati Huly passed peacefully at age 94. Originally from Connecticut, Janet was a longtime resident of Delray Beach, Florida. Janet is remembered for her candor, her courage, and caring about her family, friends, and neighbors. Her inner strength was remarkable, and she did not allow challenges or misfortune to define or limit her. Janet was an avid traveler and cruiser with her husband Bill, and they had many adventures together. She rode her bicycle into her 80s, and could always enjoy a hearty Italian meal, even when she said she wasn’t hungry.
She leaves her beloved daughter Annie Huly of Bridgeport, CT and grandchildren Gemma and Armando White, also of Connecticut, as well as so many doting family members, nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly. Special thanks to her nieces Peggy Person (husband Dick), as well as Maureen Needham (husband Geoff), Arlene Nickerson (husband Nick) and Sarah Nickerson, nephews Kenneth Andrews and David Yarson (wife Ann), for being there and helping during her life.
Janet was predeceased by her husband Bill of 64 years, her daughter Patty and son-in-law Doug White, as well as all her siblings Phyllis, Dora, Frank, Charles, and her parents.
Her graveside service and burial will take place on Friday, November 13, 2026, 10:30AM at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S State Rd 7, Lake Worth, FL 33449 in Lane #1.
