Jean Marie Duffy of Delray Beach, passed away on April 12, 2015 on her 80th birthday after a brief illness. Jean was an active member in the Methodist Church. She treasured the opportunity to express her faith through an extraordinary number of charitable activities. But above all she is most remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan, son-in-law David Coffman of Raleigh, NC, brother, James Henry Durr of Miami Lakes, 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband of 39 years, Edward Duffy, Jr. and her son, Patrick Michael Duffy.

Jean was the daughter of Jesse Calvin Durr and Margaret Smith Durr of Miami. She is one of seven siblings, Evelyn Vail, Jesse Calvin (J.C.) Durr, Jr., Mary Gustafson, Harold Mickey Durr, William Durr, and her youngest brother James Henry Durr.

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Boca Raton 625 NE Mizner Blvd., Boca Raton, FL 33432 on Friday April 24, 2015 at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jean's memory to the charity of your choice. The family is particularly grateful to Hospice of Palm Beach County.
