Our beloved Jo went home to her Lord and Savior on April 17, 2016. Her unwavering faith is a comfort to those who survive her - Paul, her husband of 39 years; her daughters, Cathleen (Cox) Grittner, Nancy (Cox) Patteson and her husband Mark, Cynthia (Carrodus) Demitruk, Caren (Carrodus) Acheson; son Paul Carrodus, Jr. and his wife Lisa; eleven grandchildren and a great-grandson; as well as her sister Gerry Reed. Jo was born in Moline, Illinois on December 15, 1930 to DeVerne and Florence Schafer. She graduated from Rochester High School in Indiana. Received a Music and Voice Degree from DePauw University and earned a Masters Degree in Education from Indiana University. She moved to Delray Beach in 1960. Her love of music and singing had her performing in several musical productions at the Delray Beach Playhouse and singing in church choirs for many years. She was an avid bridge player, rarely missing her Wednesday game. Jo was a member of the Delray Beach Roundtable for 45 years and participated in Bible Studies for many years. Always happy and kind to others, she will be greatly missed. Services will be held on Saturday April 23rd at 11:00AM at First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach, 33 Gleason Street, Delray Beach, FL.
