Joan Noel Lueders, was born in Newark, New Jersey, on February 22, 1940 to Dr. Samuel and Carmela Pecora. She went to the Lord on May 10, 2025.

Joan was predeceased by her husband, Norman A. Lueders, in 2015.  She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Perry) Zirpoli of Nutley, New Jersey; sons Richard (Debbie) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Gregory of Unionville, Connecticut, Robert (Dana) of Colonia, New Jersey and John of St. Petersburg, Florida, and eight grandchildren.  Joan was the eldest of three children and is survived by her sister Gail of Falls Church, Virginia and brother John of Unionville, Connecticut.  Joan was a graduate of Lacordaire Academy in Upper Montclair, New Jersey, and then attended Georgetown Visitation in Washington, D.C. and the Lab Institute of Merchandising in New York City.   Joan and her husband Norman owned Helmers' restaurant in Hoboken for many years and throughout her whole life Joan had a passion for food and cultures.  Joan was a voracious reader and cook and she always loved discussing new delicious dishes.  In her retirement years, Joan loved spending time near the ocean in Rehoboth Beach, DE and Delray Beach, FL.

A Memorial Service will be held this summer in New Jersey.  Joan will be buried with her beloved husband in the Lueders Family plot in Clifton, New Jersey.
