Joanne Downs Angotti "JoJo", 71 of Delray Beach, Florida, formally of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, peacefully ended her journey on this earth in her home surrounded by loved ones on November 8, 2016. She had no regrets and enjoyed a very fulfilling life. Joanne was an intelligent, hard working, family oriented, fun loving, artistic, free spirited, creative, sophisticated retired business woman. She had many interests including travel, scuba diving, stained glass, yoga, gourmet cooking, and writing (she has been published in newsprint and has published amazing cookbooks). She has greatly enjoyed her book club. She absolutely loved her gourmet club and was known as the glue that held it together. Joanne graduated Langley High School class of 1962, immediately started nursing school and began her first position with Bell Telephone. She received her Bachelor's degree from Pitt University. At the time of her retirement she had been the Senior Clinical Division Administrator at University of Miami, where she was employed from 1990-2010. UM is also where she completed her Master's Degree. Joanne was the loving daughter of the late Owen Downs & Frances Shortley Downs.

Joanne is survived by her three daughters (with former husband Ronald McMullen), Carla McMullen: Ashley McMullen (expecting her first daughter with Seth Welling), Shane Moore & Kendra Moore.

Laurie McMullen Totten (Charles): Christa Totten (Dorabella), Nicole Woeber Rutkauskas (Aiden, Owen & Delanie), Amanda Wilson (Mason, Madison & Mackson) and Hayley Totten.

Dana McMullen Kraus (Mike): Katie Kraus (Kyleigh), Shelby Kraus and Reiley Urbatis.

She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Taraborrelli in 2003, father of Alana Nelson, husband James (Calie, Stella & Lily) & Nicholas Taraborrelli, wife Lauren (Nicholas & Lexi).

Survived by sisters Gail Downs DeMarco (Tony) parents of Anthony & Mary Jane Downs Alexander (Bill).

Best friends to Sam & Brenda Fam (Cydney "CJ").

A Florida Celebration of Life party will be on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Coco Wood Lakes Clubhouse, 6269 W. Atlantic Ave., Delray Beach, FL 33484.

A Pittsburgh Celebration of Life party will be on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 3:00PM at the Sunset Room at Fairview Fire Hall, 3326 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, PA 15017.

The burial ceremony will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10:00AM at the Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, Road 4, Box 398, Coraopolis, PA 15148.
