Joanne Miller Eckler, 72, of Parkland, FL passed away comfortably and peacefully surrounded by family in her home on February 7, 2022 after a 28-year battle with breast cancer.

Joanne was born in Mount Kisco, NY on August 6, 1949 and raised in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She lived in her home in Parkland, FL for the past 24 years. She was a mother and wife first and a nurse, social worker, professor and associate dean in her professional career. Her main interest in life was to help others as can be seen by the way she lived her life.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; her son, Donald Patrick and granddaughter Sasha, from Chicago; her brother, Richard J. Miller, of Pompano Beach.

A Funeral Service and entombment will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022, 10:00AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 188 S. Swinton Ave, Delray Beach, FL. A reception to celebrate her life will follow the services in the parish hall.
