Joanne Marie Wollack, "Aunt JoJo" age 60, of Brooklyn, NY
passed away on June 17 after a courageous nine
year struggle with cancer.
She was a beloved daughter, sister,
aunt, and friend. She touched the
lives of so many young people as
a gifted and dedicated teacher.
Following her graduation from
Brooklyn College, she taught
elementary school at Our Lady of
Czestochowa, St. Athanasius, and
Holy Spirit schools.
She is survived by her 7 sisters and brothers,
21 nieces and nephews, 13 cherished grand
nieces and nephews, and her dear and loyal
friends. Her parents Robert and Eloise Wollack
preceded her in death. Joanne was a woman
of faith, compassion, generosity, and affection
whose personality and smile will be forever
remembered by all of those who knew and loved her.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Athanasius Church, 2154 61st Street, Brooklyn, NY 11204 on Saturday August 10 at 9:45 am, burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery.
