Obituary

John "Kevin" Alexander, 58, of Boynton Beach, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 30, 2024, after fighting cancer.  Kevin was born on June 11, 1965, and graduated from Winter Park High School in 1983.  He went on to study business at the University of Central Florida.  After graduating, he started his work life in sales and continued a long career as an estimator in construction utilities.

Kevin was a licensed boat Captain and spent his life deep-sea fishing, hunting, and coaching baseball and football at Lake Worth Christian School where he was also a Board member.

Kevin was preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel White Alexander in 2016.  He is survived by his wife, Shannon Kelley Alexander of Greenville, SC, a son, Andrew Johns Alexander, two stepsons, Jared Blake Ellis and Conor Greyson Ellis, his parents, John Calvin Alexander and Alyce Mae Johns Alexander, two sisters, Kerry Alexander Gamble and Carol Alexander Graczyk (John), and two nephews, Zachary Gamble and Johnathon Graczyk.

Kevin's departure comes as a deep wound and is heavily felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply in his wide network of community.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 5pm to 8pm at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, 745 N.E. 6th Avenue, Delray Beach.  A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, 643 N.E. 4th Avenue, Boynton Beach at 11:00am.  A celebration of life will be held at Lakeworth Christian School on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 5pm to 8pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lake Worth Christian School , an organization Kevin felt very strongly about.
