John Mark Choberka, 86, formerly of Ocean Ridge Florida passed away on September 7, 2023, with his family by his side. Mark was predeceased by his wife of 59 years Leila Juliann Choberka in 2018.   He was an engineer with IBM for thirty plus years.  Mark was an avid sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and tennis.  Mark and his wife also enjoyed traveling around the world.  At one time, they inauspiciously took a volcanic rock from a Hawaii, (taking a volcanic rock is said to bring bad luck!)  which they immediately mailed back to the island when they were met with a hurricane upon their return to Florida.

He is survived by his three loving daughters: Julie Rudolph (Mrs. Howard Rudolph) of Palm Beach, Susan Gazvoda (Mrs. Mark Gazvoda) of Cleveland, Ohio and Margaret Sutton (Mrs. John T Sutton) of Delray Beach. Mark leaves behind his five adoring grandsons: John Paul (wife Alisa) Ross of West Palm Beach Kevin F Sutton of West Palm Beach, Connor T Sutton of Lake Worth, Hunter A Rudolph of Palm Beach, Harrison W Rudolph of Palm Beach, and one amazing granddaughter, Summer A Sutton of Delray Beach. He is also survived his incredible goddaughter, Debbie Surowka Hart of Jupiter.

Mark was a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Delray Beach Florida. A private funeral will be held for family with entombment to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery.
