Obituary

John "Jack" Joseph Finn, Jr. passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, October 26, 2025, in Delray Beach, Florida at the age of 80. Born in Long Island, New York to the late Theresa Gert Kane and John Joseph Finn, Sr., Jack was one of three children.

Jack and his siblings were raised in New York, but his summers were spent on his aunt's farm in the Poconos. He served in the Army as a Military Policeman stationed in Munich, Germany for two years with an honorable discharge in 1968. He studied Economics and graduated from Rutgers University in 1973. It was during his college years that he met his first wife, Gail Martin. Together, they had two sons, John and Mick. During these years Jack drove a taxi in New York City, developing his natural gift of connecting with people from all walks of life.

Jack moved to Delray Beach, Florida where he met his devoted wife of 42 years, Laura Sylvester Finn. Together they shared a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories with family, friends and their beloved pets Maxi, Nikki, Duffy, Maggie and Gracie. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved the beach, cooking, was an avid reader and loved traveling with his wife, Laura, and family.

Jack earned his real estate license specializing in timeshares and ran the Bridge restaurant in Delray Beach before his entrepreneurial drive took over. He developed two successful businesses: Lifestyle Vacations Incentives and Destination Rewards. Jack was known for his tough exterior and quick-witted sense of humor, but those close to him knew his inner warmth and generosity.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Laura Sylvester Finn, his sons, John J. Finn III (Kristin) and Mick Finn (Kim), his brother, Ron Finn, and three grandchildren, Kaia, Ava, and Jack Finn. He is preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Cooper (James Summers).
