John C. Lake, 73, of Delray Beach, FL and formerly of S. Palm Beach, FL passed away on September 3, 2013 following a long battle with Parkinson 's disease. Mr. Lake is survived by his daughters, Megan Lake and Kelley Johnson both of Delray Beach, FL. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Gabe Johnson, granddaughter Liv Johnson of Delray Beach, FL and his soul mate, Joan Pickford of S. Palm Beach, FL.
Mr. Lake was born May 18, 1940 in Orange, NJ. As a 30 year resident of Colorado, he worked as a residential real-estate developer; responsible for building several thousand, award winning single family homes, townhomes, condominiums and apartments in communities in the metropolitan Denver area.
An avid golfer, Mr. Lake semi-retired in 1991 and relocated to south Florida to be near his daughters and enjoy the local Pam Beach County ice cream parlors.

In lieu of flowers, his survivors suggest contributions be made in honor of John C. Lake, to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
