Jose G. Escribano's Obituary
Jose G. Escribano, 98, of Delray Beach passed away on May 24, 2015. Born in Morocco, Jose moved to France and was member of the resistance against the Nazi. He was captured and escaped three times. General Eisenhower brought Jose to the United States as a member of his staff. He settled in Situate, Massachusetts and moved to Delray Beach in 1974. Jose was predeceased by his wife Doris in 1995.
Jose was well loved by his friends and customers at the local country clubs where he worked as a bartender and a real confident. He was a giver to a fault.
He is survived by his sister Mercedes M. Quinn of Delray Beach and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 11:30AM at the Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Avenue, Delray Beach with burial to follow at the Delray Beach Cemetery.
