Joseph S. Bell, 72, of Boca Raton and formerly of Rosemont, PA passed away peacefully on January 15, 2015. He was the loving husband of Margaret A. (Peggy, nee Madden)and loving father of Marita, John, Jackie, (nee Coffre), and Jimmy. Grandfather to Luke,Mia, Julian, and Grayson; sister-in-law of Marita Mugler, and uncle of Joseph, Marc,
Donna, Alexa, Jake, Stephen, Stephen Jr; brother of the late Charles E. Bell, (Mona Mitchell); uncle of Ellen and Michael Bell; and loving nephew of Eleanor Sundermann.
Joe was a Viet Nam veteran having served four years in the USAF; a pre-med graduate of Midwestern University, Texas, with a Master of Science in molecular biology from Villanova University. He worked as an endocrine research assistant at Wyeth Laboratories; quality control director at Accupac, Inc. and vice-president/director of operations at several pharmaceutical packaging companies. Joe was a former member of the National Field Trial Association, past president of the Fairways at Somerset Condo Association, vice-president of the Board of Directors of Boca Golf and Tennis Club, pianist, music lover, sports enthusiast and avid reader. He loved children, animals, and was especially kind to the elderly and disabled, often bringing them a good joke and a treat.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 24, 2015 10:00AM at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3510 S. Ocean Blvd. (A1A) Highland Beach, FL 33487. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Inlet Grove Community High, International Baccalaureate Program, 600 W. 28th Street, Riviera Beach, FL 33404.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date in Pennsylvania.
