Joseph P. (Joe) Jiampetti, Age 87 of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2018.  Joe is survived by his five (5) sons, Joseph and Brenda (Hunt) of West Palm Beach, Florida, John and Gerrianne (Mominani Iosalio) of Kealia, Hawaii, James and Rebecca (Morse) of Dania Beach, Florida, Jeffery and Victoria (Carr) of St. Augustine, Florida, and Jerry and Caroline (Murphy) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was a proud grandfather of three (3) grandsons; Raymond Joseph, Joseph Burton and Kenneth Robert. He was preceded by his parents Joseph & Mary Jiampetti and the mother of his children Rochelle Jiampetti.

Joe was born and raised in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey.  He was a Navy Veteran who proudly served his country in the Korean War on the USS Juno & Leonard F. Mason.  When he returned from war he operated the family business, "Joseph's Men & Boys Store" with his father on Philadelphia Avenue, Egg Harbor City, New Jersey.  Joe had a passion for cooking.  He owned Pepino's Pizzeria and Jiampetti's Park & Eat in Ocean City New Jersey. When the time was right, Joe moved to South Florida, where he became one of the top sales professionals for Orkin, a division of Rollins Corporation. He later retired to Delray Beach, Florida in 1995. His favorite places to visit were Las Vegas and Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Florida.  Joe will be missed by the many friends who knew him throughout the years. Joe was a father first, a professional second and loved by his sons. Joe naturally shared his zest for life and wisdom through real life circumstance with those he met.

The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home located at 745 NE 6th Ave, Delray Beach, Florida.  A prayer service will be held at 12:45pm followed by an urn burial at 2:30pm at the South Florida National Cemetery located at 6501 SR 7, Lake Worth, Florida.
