Josephine Lena Cicalese of Delray Beach, FL and formerly of New York passed away at home on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the age of 87. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Joseph; her daughter Theresa Bryan and husband Eugene of Palm Beach, FL; her son Michael and wife Julie Marie of Belmont, MA and her sisters Rose Maggio and Marie D'Annunzio; and many loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Lillian, and brothers Gasper, Anthony and Charles.
"Josie" enjoyed being a volunteer, and in New York she volunteered at her local church for fund raising activities and assisted with sheltering the homeless. Upon her retirement, she continued her philanthropic efforts at her local church and within her community.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, 10:30AM at the Emmanuel Catholic Church, 15700 South Military Trail, Delray Beach. Prior to the funeral mass, the family will receive guests at the church from 10AM to 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at the Boca Raton Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County or Emmanuel Catholic Church.
