Katherine Schwikert Waidmann of Delray Beach, Florida passed away on November 25th, 2014.  Born in Detroit, Michigan on April 30th, 1979, Kate graduated from Troy Athens High School and moved to Florida to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  There she played soccer, made lifelong friendships, and pursued her love for flying, which would become her career.  Kate is survived by her loving husband Greg Waidmann, his parents Robert and Connie Waidmann, his daughters Shanna Pierotti and Shelby Waidmann, her parents Edward and Phyllis Schwikert, her brother Stewart Schwikert, her sister Megan Powell, and her nephew and nieces Trenton, Madison and Ava, whom she loved dearly.  Those who preceded her in death were her sister Kimberly Schwikert and her grandmother Treva Terry.  All are invited to celebrate her life in a memorial mass that will be held at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church (840 George Bush Blvd. Delray Beach, FL 33483) on Saturday, November 29th, at 10AM.  Mass will be followed by a walk on the beach and a reception at 50 Ocean (50 S. Ocean Blvd. Delray Beach, FL 33483).  A complimentary valet will be available.  In lieu of flowers, Kate's family has requested a donation be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her honor.
