Kathleen H. Deacon passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022.  She was predeceased by her husband, George N. Deacon, an executive with Columbia Records.

Kate was born and raised in Pottsville, PA.  She was the youngest of six children.  She graduated from Ursuline Academy in Wilmington, Delaware and Marjorie Webster Jr. College in Washington, D.C.

She is survived by her son, David and his wife Gail; daughter, Jane Staruk, and her husband Paul; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly Staruk, Michael Staruk, Lisa Deacon and Evan Deacon as well as 4 great-grandchildren.

Kathleen loved to entertain friends and recording artists with Columbia Records.  Kate was a wonderful mother and good friend to the boys and girls in the neighborhood.  She was an excellent cook.  We will miss her Sunday night dinners and her delightful sense of humor.
