Kathryn B. Grutza (Kay),of Boca Raton, Florida passed away peacefully at Hospice by the Sea on November 15, 2011. Kay is survived by her husband of 51 years, Kenneth Edward Grutza of Boca Raton, Florida. She is also survived by her son, Kenneth Charles Grutza of Montgomery, IL, her daughter Dr. Kathleen Appell of Lewiston, MN, her mother Katherine Guenst of Leesburg, FL, her sister Patricia Beck of Eustis, FL and 7 grandchildren. Kay was a loving wife and mother whose devotion to her family was apparent in everything she did. She had a love of the ocean and for flower gardening. She and her husband traveled every year from Florida to Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin to their Lake home that they joyously shared with all their family and friends. Although Kay knew more than her fair share of struggles with medical issues, her eyes never lost their sparkle and her heart never lost its love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
