Kenneth
Andorn
June 28, 1938 — October 10, 2026
Delray Beach
Ken Andorn, 88, of Delray Beach and formerly of New York City and Lake Hopatcong, NJ, He was preceded in death by his partner of 48 years, Hal Hastings in January, 2016. Ken and Hal met in NYC in May, 1968 and relocated to Delray Beach in 1997.
Ken is survived by his cousin Lenore Millian of Danbury, CT, her family and many friends and neighbors as well as his beloved fur companion, Quinn who was by his side when he passed.
Ken worked in a corporate position for JC Penney for many years before retiring on disability and working another 10 years as a caregiver in a group home for mentally damaged/challenged adults. He said those 10 years were the most rewarding of his life.
Ken’s favorite pastimes and hobbies were music and singing. He would never pass up an opportunity to sing karaoke and entertain everyone with a voice that could have been a profession. For him it was the business end of professional singing which diminished much of the joy for him. As a result of singing karaoke, he made many lifelong friends.
Per Ken’s wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue Leagues, 3200 N Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 Click here to donate online or a charity of your choice.
The best way to honor Ken’s memory is to help someone less fortunate and be a force for positive change in our world.
