Kris Young Humphrey, 59, of Thomasville, North Carolina passed away peacefully on April 16, 2024.  Kris was born and raised in Pompano Beach, Florida.  She was baptized and attended Hope Lutheran Church, in Pompano and graduated from Deerfield Beach High School.  She moved to Ocala, Florida, then moved to Cynthiana, Kentucky before moving to Thomasville, North Carolina.

Kris was an avid horse lover, trainer.  She worked with several Farms in Ocala, Florida then moved on to her dream location, Kentucky where she groomed and trained with several famous and winning horses.  She had a soft spot for stray cats always feeding and adopting them.

Kris is survived by her sisters Kim Siekmann (Mark), Barbara Michaels (Chris) her Niece Michelle Griner-Davis, her nephew, Kyle Parsly, Great Niece Kiley Griner, Aunt Connie Brady-Gleim (Lou), Cousins Lori Hall (Bill), Jan Herbold (Jeff) and several other Cousins and Great Cousins, and her 3 cats, Leo, Scooter & Minnie.  She is preceded by her parents, James & Jacqueline Young, and Grandparents, Jack & Sadie Capria, her dog Frankie and several other family members & friends.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10:30am to 11:30am with an 11:30am funeral service at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Avenue, (Federal Hwy. Northbound), Delray Beach, FL 33483.  Burial will follow at the Boca Raton Cemetery.
