Laurence White, 57, of Boynton Beach, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on August 5th, 2018. He was an amazing father and voracious reader who loved physics and blue whales.
Laurence was born in Moville, Co. Donegal, Ireland, the fourth of ten children. As the son of a fisherman, he loved the sea and always lived by the water. He attended Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, then immigrated to the US and began working in the IT industry. Early in his career, he became an accomplished software engineer with expertise in mainframes, and continued working in software throughout his life. In his free time, Laurence enjoyed fishing, writing poetry, and drawing sketches. Most of all, he loved spending time with his two children.
Laurence is survived by his daughter Sophie White and son Liam White, both of Gulf Stream, FL, brothers and sisters Dr. Fionnuala (Damian) McParland and Patrick White of Northern Ireland, Patricia (Yann) Blouin of Luxembourg, Dr. Bernadette (George) Fitzgerald, Dr. Lucy White, John (Bernadette) White, Michael (Annemarie) White, Peter White, all of Ireland, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews all over the world.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2018, 2:00-4:00 PM at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Ave, Delray Beach, FL 33483.
