Our dearly beloved, Lawrence Eugene Gagne passed away peacefully on January 24, 2021. He was born on July 6, 1925 and was 95 years young. Larry met his wife Dorothy at Somerville High School where they danced their way into each other's hearts and kept on dancing for most of their 73 years of marriage. Larry loved to travel with his family and friends, including hosting fun times skiing, cruising, and a trip to see the Rose Bowl Parade to name a few. Parties and fun family times for all was his way of sharing his love. From growing up in the Depression, to fighting in the Battle of the Bulge, to traveling the world, a career with Rex Lumber Company, and golfing with his friends, Larry once said, "I know a lot of people who have had a lot of fun in life but I can't say anyone has had any more fun than us. I am the luckiest man ever." The generosity of his spirit was as memorable as the grace he placed upon his family. "Dad", "Grandpere", and "Pere", you will be forever cherished.
Larry leaves his wife, Dorothy, five children: Joanne D'Amelio (Joseph), Linda Glasser (Mark), Barbara DeLucia (Robert) Lawrence E. Gagne Jr., and Laurel Heisey (Brian), as well as 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and sister Joan Reardon of Belmont, Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his sisters Lorraine Thompson and Rita Crispo.
A memorial service and luncheon will be held at Delray Dunes in honor of Lawrence
E. Gagne at a future date.
