Lena Theresa Antoinette Provitola, passed away August 4, 2020. Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Ernesto and Beatrice Varone on June 27, 1933, Lena is the beloved wife of Pat Provitola, also deceased. Lena is survived by her daughter Carole Kriete, son-in-law Tom Kriete, and grandsons Logan and Lance Kriete. To us, she was Nana. Her biggest joy was being actively involved with her family at all times, and she considered being with her grandsons from the day they were born her greatest blessing.

Lena came to Delray Beach retired from her job with Footlocker (Kinny Shoes) in 1993. Lena totally loved working with the buyers in the clothing industry in Manhattan. She was a positive role model, loved her family dearly, she was spirited and young at heart. Her words "let the butterfly land" inspired guidance and wisdom, often shared with us over the years. She believed in "destino" as she would quote her father in Italian meaning "it is destined." She was a believer and loved the Lord.

A Funeral Mass is being held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 10:30am at Emmanuel Catholic Church, Delray Beach.
