Obituary

Lillian Theresa Fenton, a cherished member of the Delray Beach community and formerly of Jersey City, New Jersey, passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 88. Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who brightened the lives of those around her with her unwavering love, humor, and selflessness.

Lillian is predeceased by her husband George Fenton, sisters Marie Macrae, Edna Servidio and June Sirotiak, brothers Douglas and Arthur Skinner, and parents William and Lillian Skinner. She is survived by her loving daughters Lisa Shuman and Melissa Marnell, and sons-in-law John Shuman and Richard Marnell. She leaves behind a cherished legacy through her grandchildren Erica Marnell-Gonzalez along with her spouse Antonio Gonzalez, Richard Marnell, Ryan Shuman, Michelle Shuman, her great-granddaughters Cora & Olivia Gonzalez, and many loving nieces and nephews.

She found community and strength in her faith as a member of Emmanuel Catholic Church. Lillian's caring nature extended beyond her family as she served countless elderly patients as a nurse, even in her later years, touching many lives through her compassionate care.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 17, 2023, 10:30 AM at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 15700 South Military Tail, Delray Beach, FL 33484. Entombment will follow at the Boca Raton Mausoleum, 451 SW 4th Avenue, Boca Raton, FL 33432.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Wounded Veterans Relief Fund in honor of Lillian's memory.

As we mourn the loss of this remarkable woman, let us also celebrate the love, kindness, humor, and lasting impact she brought to the lives of those who knew her.
