Obituary

Lloyd Irving Snyder, 95, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on October 30, 2023. He was born on March 30, 1928, in Newark, New Jersey. Lloyd was a hardworking man who started his career as a spotter at a dry cleaners. After being honorably discharged from the Marine Corp. he purchased his first gas station on George and Day Street in New Haven Ct. He eventually became the proud owner of Lloyd's Service Center Inc. in Orange, Connecticut. In 1982, he relocated to Delray Beach, where he continued to run his successful business.

Lloyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was survived by his wife, Patricia, and his sister, Barbara Lipetz of New Haven, Connecticut. He is also survived by his five children, Butch, Carla, John, Gary, and Kathy, as well as his ten grandchildren, Carl, Eric, Gina, Ryan, Jonathan, Chad, Allie, Brittany, Taylor, and Nicholas. Lloyd was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Carter, Cooper, Kelsea, Wyatt, Averi, Evan, and Darren.

In his free time, Lloyd enjoyed boating and fishing, finding solace and joy in the open waters. His love for these hobbies brought him peace and relaxation throughout his life.

Urn burial with Military honors will take place on Friday, November 24, 2023 at South Florida National Cemetery in lane 1. The service will begin at 9:00am. The ceremony will be a time to honor and remember Lloyd's remarkable life and the impact he had on those around him.

Lorne and Son's Funeral Home in Delray Beach is assisting the family with the arrangements for Lloyd's passing. Their compassionate and dedicated staff will ensure that the service is conducted with the utmost care and respect.

Lloyd Irving Snyder will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His strength, determination, and unwavering love for his family will forever be cherished in their hearts. May he rest in peace.
