A life beautifully lived.

Madeleine Phelan of Delray Beach, FL and Westhampton Beach, NY died peacefully on November 4, 2021 surrounded by her family at her home in Florida.

Mimi was educated at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Greenwich-Maplehurst and received a BA from Manhattanville College. She later earned a Masters in Education. The things Mimi loved most in life were her family, friends, and learning. She was a steadfast Christian, devoted wife and mother, compassionate friend, and enthusiastic and supportive alumna. She gave the gift of herself in service to others.

Mimi was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Robert Thomas Phelan, and her son, James Joseph Phelan. She is survived by her daughter, Jody Phelan Cooper, her sons, Gerard Thomas Phelan and Robert Morgan Phelan, her daughter-in-law, Kathleen McGrath Phelan, and three grandsons, Andrew Benson Phelan, John Morgan Phelan and Peter O'Brien Phelan.

A wake will be held at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home in Delray Beach, FL on Wednesday, November 17th at 11am. Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
