Malcolm S.
Kay
December 23, 1944 – November 16, 2018
Malcolm was born on December 23, 1944 in Shropshire, England to Rebecca and David Kay, brother to Marianne, Brian, and Warren. Malcolm is survived by his wife of 39 years, Veronica; his three adoring daughters, Danielle, Louise and Natalie; six beloved grandchildren, Amelia, Stevie, Archie, Harvey, Greta and Pippa and most importantly Abby and Holly his treasured cockapoos.
Malcolm, together with Veronica and Natalie moved to Boca Raton, Florida in July 1997. Malcolm spent his life working in the auto and marine industry, buying and selling cars and boats, operating his own businesses, and working all hours to ensure that his family had everything they could ask for.
Malcolm's lifelong passions were boats, race cars and radio control model airplanes. Throughout his seventy-three years of life, you might find Malcolm racing cars, flying private planes, driving speed boats, doing something crazy on the beaches and sea in Mallorca; his cherished Spanish isle where his ashes will be laid to rest forever. He spent countless hours building, perfecting, flying, and repairing his prized planes. He was the eternal optimist, always finding the silver lining in every situation. Malcolm had a smile that lit up rooms, and jokes to cheer up the saddest of moments. If he were here now, he would have the perfect corny and witty line to make us all smile and forget every problem.
Devastatingly, after a valiant and courageous two and a half year battle against colon cancer, Malcolm peacefully passed away at 2:20 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018, with his daughter Danielle by his side. Malcolm challenged cancer in every way possible, in the end cancer won the battle as it so often does. His family is grateful that his body is finally at ease, and his mind has found the peace he so very much deserves.
The family would like to thank Trustbridge Hospice for their compassionate care in Malcolm's final days.Visits: 0
