Manuel T. Garza, Sr. 77, of Delray Beach and formerly of Alice, Texas passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 23, 2013. He is survived by his wife Francisca Gonzales Garza of 41 years, and 4 children - Maria Carmen Ramirez, Antonia Salas, Sesario Garza and Erica Garza; 6 siblings – Francisco Garza, Alicia Morales, Juan Garza, Guadalupe Gonzales, Pedro Garza and Consuelo Garza. He has joined his predeceased children Rosario Reyes and Manuel T. Garza Jr., former wife Carmen Lomeli and brother Jose Garza. Friends will gather to celebrate his life on Wednesday, August 28 from 4 – 8pm at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Ave, Delray Beach. He was known by many names; in his earlier days he was called "Narco" because of the style of hat he wore. He was "Padrino", "Compadre" to many, with such big spirit and heart. He loved to share stories and tell jokes. His interests included playing poker, watching wrestling, dancing and most of all being with family. He devoted much of his time to his many grandchildren who consist of 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He leaves behind much love, laughs and memories that will forever be in our hearts.
