Obituary

Mrs. Margaret "Margie" Holda-Stockton (Porter) died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 19, 2015 in Augusta, GA where she resided with her nephew John Morris Porter.   She was a long time resident of Delray Beach and Boynton Beach, Florida.

Margie Holda is survived by her nephew John Morris Porter and Kum Ok Porter of Augusta, GA and her grand-nephews John Morris Porter II and grandniece Jeanhee Porter.  Mrs. Holda-Stockton is preceded in death by Raymond Holda of Delray Beach and Boynton Beach, Florida and Chicago, IL and Roger Stockton of Quail Ridge, Boynton Beach, Florida and Highland Falls, North Carolina.

Margie was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Carl and Stella Porter. She graduated from high school in Miami, Florida.  She became a professional singer and worked in the entertainment business until she met and married Raymond Holda.  Margie enjoyed her favorite pastime of playing golf and socializing.

Margie loved God and had a wonderful relationship with Jesus Christ.  She was passionate and generous to charities and animal protection agencies.  She loved her pets.

Aunt Margie had the greatest sense of humor and could make anyone laugh.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with a 2:00 PM funeral service officiated by Rev. Jo Garnett at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33483.  Entombment will follow at Queen of Peace Mausoleum, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
