Margaret L.
Martin
Aug 5, 1945 — Jun 25, 2026
Peggy Martin originally of Philadelphia Pennsylvania and then of Boynton Beach passed away leaving behind a legacy of catholic faith, love, learning, and immense generosity.
Before dedicating her retirement to lifting her community, Peggy spent years shaping young minds as a Kindergarten teacher at Gulf Stream School. She was a fierce advocate for others, serving on the board of Women’s Circle Inc. and working closely with the Bethesda Hospital Foundation. From twice chairing the Women of Grace Luncheon to spearheading fundraisers that helped the Women’s Circle buy a larger facility to support underserved women, Peggy spent her life making sure others had a chance to thrive.
More than anything, Peggy’s heart belonged to her family. She was the beloved partner in life to her lifelong love, Joe Martin. Together they shared their love of family and friends in Delray Beach for over 50 years. She was a proud, devoted mother to her two daughters, Missy and Christina, and the ultimate cheerleader to her five grandchildren: Tori, Joseph, Colin, Caitlin, and Callie. Summer trips to Hilton Head with her family, baking chocolate chip cookies, getting matching pajamas, and listening to Italian tenors were some of her favorite memories. Peggy had a passion for holiday decorations. She was especially fond of the Charles Dickens Christmas Village and would spend days setting up her village and sharing memories and moments with her grandchildren about the pieces.
Peggy’s legacy lives on in the family she adored and the countless lives she changed for the better.
