Margaret Walsmith
Shuttleworth
February 9, 1930 – December 20, 2021
Margaret Walsmith Shuttleworth of Boynton Beach passed away at the age of 91 on December 20, 2021. Margaret, known to all as Peggy, was born and raised in Delray Beach, leaving only after her marriage in 1951. She returned to her home state in 1989.
Peggy devoted her life to her family, though she also loved animals. As a child, she often rode her pony, Flash, down Atlantic Avenue and into the ocean. She also adopted many cats. Peggy was known for her whimsical sense of humor, to the extent where she once wrote an obituary for a tropical fish.
Peggy was predeceased by one son, John. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Edwin Charles Shuttleworth Jr., and her three remaining children, Carol, Elizabeth, and Edwin Charles III. Peggy was a loving and generous mother; she was loved by all who knew her, and will be deeply missed.
In celebration of her life, the family encourages those who loved her to donate to either Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League at 3100/3200 N Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33409 Click Here to Donate Online or Trustbridge Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 Click Here to Donate Online .
