Marie Caron Eckhouse , 91, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Royal Oak, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on October 5, 2013. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard Eckhouse in 1991 and her son Jack Caron in 2010. Mrs. Eckhouse is survived by her sister Betty Seurynck of Clearwater Beach FL; her children, Janice Roberts (Jerry) of Evergreen, CO, Tom Caron (Ann) of Portand, ME; Ken Caron of Anchorage, AK; Rita Mercier (Larry) of Troy, MI. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mrs. Eckhouse was a member of the Southfield Business and Professional Women's Club and a volunteer at the Boca Raton Regional Hospital. She was also a patron of the arts through the Delray Beach Library and Florida Atlantic University. Mrs. Eckhouse has traveled extensively throughout the world with many of her dear friends and family. As a resident of Harbor's Edge in Delray Beach, she leaves behind many cherished and longtime friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 18, 2013, 11AM at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3510 So. Ocean Blvd., Highland Beach, FL followed by inurnment at the Boca Raton Mausoleum.
