Marilyn
Bundy
October 10, 1942 – December 19, 2022
On December 19, 2022 Marilyn Bundy passed away in Gulf Stream, Florida. She was surrounded by her loving husband, Peter, and her children, Jennifer King, Charles Royce, Jr. and Amanda Royce.
Marilyn grew up in Wayne, NJ and went on to graduate Vassar College where she majored in French.
Prior to starting a family with, her then husband, Charles Royce, she was a teacher for several years at the Dalton School in NY City. With the three young children that followed, Marilyn became a full time mother. As the children grew older Marilyn returned to the world of academia, obtaining an MBA from New York University.
That led to a job as a securities analyst for the Value Line Investment Survey. She was one of only three women in the firm and rose to become one of the three editors. Marilyn and Peter had married in 1987.
In her retirement, Marilyn was in love with European travel and became a committed Francophile and Italophile.
An avid tennis player and golfer, Marilyn was a member of the Everglades Club (Palm Beach), The Riverside Yacht Club (Greenwich, CT), The Onteora Club (Tannersville, NY) and The Gulf Stream Bath and Tennis Club (Gulf Stream, FL) among others.
In addition to her husband and three children, Marilyn is survived by two step-sons, Carter and Graham Bundy, two grandsons, one granddaughter and five step-grandsons.
Marilyn was a joy to everyone who knew her, kind to all, always of good spirit, unassuming and unaffected. Peter recalled a frequent toast he made to her, "Lovely and loving, funny and smart, Marilyn dear, you've captured my heart." When Peter tucked Marilyn into bed at night he would sing to her one line from an old song, "Rosie you are my posy, you are my heart's bouquet." She loved that.
In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a contribution in her memory may do so at Doctors Without Borders .
