Mary L. Cooper, 86, of Delray, Beach, Florida, passed away July 20, 2014. She was born June 18, 1928 to Wyman and Leneta Pasco in Warrensburg, New York.
Mary graduated from Warrensburg Central School, St. Lawrence University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and Albany Business College.
She moved to Delray Beach in the early 1960s where she began a long career in the hospitality industry. She was manager at the Seagate of Delray for several years before she and her husband, Edward B. Cooper, became owners of the Bermuda Inn and the Williamsburg Inn. Mary and Ed were very active members of the Delray Beach Lions Club and enjoyed vacationing in Cashiers, North Carolina.
Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward B. Cooper, and her siblings, Clara Pasco Sullivan, Robert E. Pasco, and Helen Pasco Rider. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and their extended families, who loved her very much and will cherish her memory.
Interment will be Monday, July 28,2014, at 2PM at Delray Beach Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Palm Beach County or your charity of choice.
