Mary Jane Sickel, 84, of Delray Beach and formerly of Princeton, NJ, passed away on December 14, 2016. She was blessed to meet her husband, George in church nursery school, when she was only four years old and they lived a lifetime of love together. Mary Jane enjoyed exercising and running and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always had time to help others by volunteering. Mary Jane was a devoted volunteer for Kids in Distress, mentoring underprivileged children with reading. She also volunteered after many natural disasters. Mary Jane had many organizations that she was devoted to, especially CROS Ministries and Holly House at First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Michael) Giles, son, Timothy (Vicki) Sickel, brother, John R. (Caroline) Janick, grandchildren, Ashlee (Alan) Freese, Tim Sickel, Kimberly (Patrick) Casey, Brian (Christie) Giles, great grandchildren, Brianna and Matthew Casey, Landen and Alani Giles. Mary Jane is predeceased by her loving husband, George C. Sickel and sisters, Marjorie Janick and Phyllis Renk.


A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 11:00AM at First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach, 33 Gleason St. Delray Beach, FL 33483. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: CROS Ministries 3677 23rd Avenue South, #B-101 Lake Worth, FL 33461.
