Obituary

Maxwell E. Lizza III, affectionately known as Peppy, 65, of Delray Beach passed away on October 10, 2022. Peppy joins his mother, Rose Marie Lizza, and his beloved late wife, Yvonne Lizza in heaven.

Peppy is survived by immediate family who love him immensely: father Maxwell E. Lizza II and wife Joyce Lizza, step-mother Lana Collingsworth; brother Mark D. Lizza and wife Donna A. Lizza; and sisters Kimberly A. Pishko and Tonia R. Schoenfeld. Peppy lives on, not only in the memory of immediate family, but also in the memory of extended family and friends who were touched by his compassion, love and thoughtfulness.

Peppy Lizza lived a life of service, willing to give the shirt of his back to anybody in need. His house and heart always open to his family and friends, Peppy welcomed all. Life's precious memories often captured by Peppy, he took great joy in having camera in hand to make sure the simple joy and beauty that life has to offer was available to share for the future. We will never forget these precious moments captured by Peppy.

We will never forget our good-hearted Peppy.

Peppy's service extended beyond family and friends to the community of the greater Delray Beach area. For 31 years, Peppy, with a smile and zeal, delivered the mail to Delray Beach. Peppy was a man who heeded the call of our founding Fathers. He ensured that neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night, our country remain connected. Peppy was the connector.

Peppy Lizza had a multitude of personal interests: Civil War history, Pittsburgh sports and Corvettes, just to name a few. However, nothing could match the love he had for his family and friends.
