Melody Spring Hoeffer Setticasi, 31, of Delray Beach passed away at home after a brave and courageous battle with cancer on July 13, 2013. Mel was born on September 29, 1981 in Boynton Beach, Florida and was a fourth generation Floridian and lived most of her life in Delray Beach. She is survived by her beautiful children George Luis Inostroza III, Dominic Charles Setticasi and Gianna Kay Setticasi, Father Charles W. Hoeffer (Jaime) and Brother Matthew W. Hoeffer (Kristy) all of Delray Beach. Grandparents Floyd Hoeffer, Port Saint Lucie, Fl., James and Charlotte Mappin of Newnan, Ga., as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends. Mel is predeceased by her Mother Charlene Kay Hoeffer, Grandmother Mary Ann Hoeffer, Great Grandparents W.S. and Lucile Brown, Bernard and Ruth Mappin, and Ruth Hoeffer. She is also survived by the children's fathers George Inostroza and Eric Setticasi. Mel recently adopted a black lab puppy named Isabelle " Bella." She was a Faithful Christian who really did Gods work here. Although, Mel went through a lot ,she never complained and accepted Gods plan. If Mel could share one simple message with each one of us it would be " Faith, Love and Hope." She was a graduate of Palm Beach State College of Nursing and a Phi Beta Kappa member. Mel was employed at West Boca Medical Center as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. She so loved being a Nurse and dreamed of doing mission work and attending to women's health needs in countries where women's health care is absent. Mel loved her children beyond measure and touched so many people along her life's journey. She always wore a beautiful smile. We would like to thank Dr. Purvi Patel, the Doctors and staff at West Boca Medical Center, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Kimmel Cancer Center, Philadelphia, Pa., Mt. Sinai Cancer Center, Miami Beach, Fl., Murray Ocular, Miami, Fl., for their amazing care and treatment Mel received. Also, all of the family and friends that helped care for Mel during her illness. Thank You to Hospice of Palm Beach County for your care and compassion. A special thank you to all of Mel's co-workers for all of your love, compassion and support given to Mel, especially the benefit for her and know that she loved each one of you.
