Michael B. "Chief" Wigderson passed away peacefully on December 6th, 2023, at the age of 75. He was born in Madison, Wisconsin, on March 16th, 1948.

He served in the Delray Beach Fire Department, joining in 1972 and rose through the ranks, retiring as Assistant Chief in 2002.

Michael was a dedicated volunteer and was involved in many organizations, including the Exchange Club/Dick Weber Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and The Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

He is survived by his wife, Susan, son, Martin, daughter, BettyJo, and granddaughters, Katelyn and Kathryn.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach at 10:30am on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

Donations can be made to the Children's Healing Institute in lieu of flowers.
