Osmundo "Pancho"
Mederos
December 4, 1934 – June 10, 2024
Osmundo "Pancho" Mederos joined the love of his life, Fortunata "Nancy" Mederos, on June 10th, 2024. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle to many. While often stoic in personality and mannerisms, Pancho cared deeply for his family, their success and security, and had a wonderful sense of humor.
He was born December 4th, 1934 in Cuba and immigrated to the United States with his wife and children, eventually becoming a resident of Boynton Beach, Florida. Once in the US, he worked to bring other members of his family from Cuba to the US so they too could have a better future. Pancho was a caretaker, always ready to offer some sage words of wisdom or provide assistance. He loved butter cookies, vanilla ice cream before bed, blue towels, playing lotto, and spending time with his one true love, Nancy. His love, care, and concern for his family often came across as stern and serious; however, those who knew him well understood him as a man full of warmth and humor.
Osmundo is survived by his children, George Mederos, Marlen Hazelton, and Olga Protzer. He was "Tata" to 7 grandchildren, Sergio Ivashevsky, Jennifer Fabricius, Daniel Mederos, Natalie Mederos, Alex Protzer, Sofia Mederos, and Katie Mederos.
After losing Nancy three years prior, he has been reunited with his soulmate for eternity.
A Cryptside service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, 10:30 AM at the Boynton Beach Mausoleum, 1611 S. Seacrest Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL 33435 (Corner of Woolbright Road & Seacrest Blvd.)
