Obituary

Patricia Toal Westall, 76, of Delray Beach, FL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on December 21, 2018. Patsy was born February 4, 1942 to Frederick Clifton and Helen (Furer) Toal in Washington, DC. She attended the University of South Carolina where she met and married the love of her life, James Scott Westall, in 1962. Together they have three wonderful children; David, Cathleen and Joanna.

Patsy later obtained a Masters in Public Health from Emory University and went to work in health administration while living in the metro Atlanta area for nearly 30 years. Throughout her life, Patsy remained active in many spiritual women's groups, eventually having her wisdom honored in a croning ceremony. After retiring to Delray Beach, she devoted her time to serving her community through advocacy and volunteer work as a Guardian ad Litem and board member for the H.O.P.E. Project.

Patsy lived a life abundant with love, deep with gratitude, and gave freely to many in need. Her intrepid zest for life, quick wit, and infectious charm will be cherished and missed deeply by her friends and family. She was a compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.

Patsy is preceded in death by her fiercely loyal and loving mother, Helen Toal, her father, Cliff Toal, and brother-in-law, Andy Wactor. She is survived by her devoted husband, Scott, and her three children; David (Bekah) Westall, Cathleen Westall, and Joanna (Bert) Green. She leaves behind eight grandchildren; Joshua, Michaela, Alexis, Graham, Grace, Davis, Olivia and Alexandra. Patsy is also survived by her brother, David (Charlotte) Toal, niece, Julia (Gabe) Nolle, sister-in-law, Becky (Westall) Wactor, and countless other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019, 2:00 pm at St. Paul's Episcopal Church
