Patrick J. Connolly, 88, of Delray Beach, Florida and formerly of Natick, Massachusetts passed away on April 15, 2019.  He proudly served his country in the 1 ^st Marines 5 ^th Division during the Korean War and was honored with a Purple Heart.

Patrick was born in Arlington Massachusetts, the son of Jeremiah and Mary (McPartland) Connolly. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Mary (Lyons), brother Brendan Connolly, sisters Sheila Connolly, Mary Hearon and Theresa Joyce.

Pat is survived by his children, Donna Schermerhorn, Debra Evers and her husband Stephen and Michael Connolly and his wife Mary; 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his faithful companion and caretaker Glenda Dennis.

An avid sports fan, he was devoted to the New England Patriots and Atlanta (Boston) Braves teams.  He is affectionately known as the "12 ^th Patriot", having run onto the playing field in 1961 to thwart the opposing team's winning touchdown.

Graveside with Honors will be held at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM, Lane #3.
