Patrick Henry Faherty 85, of Delray Beach, Florida and formerly of Trenton, N.J. passed away peacefully on April 18, 2015 at Bethesda Hospital East in Boynton Beach. Patrick was born in Hopewell, NJ in 1929 and raised in Trenton where he attended Blessed Sacrament School and graduated from Trenton High School. He graduated from the University of Maryland and received a Masters of Science from Rutgers University. He served in the Korean War and was also stationed in Japan during this time. He taught Chemistry and Physics at Trenton High School and ended his career at Lawrence High School. He was the owner/manager of Anna C. Faherty Realty Company in West Trenton before retiring to Florida. Pat was an active member and daily communicant at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Delray Beach. During his lifetime he enjoyed teaching, selling real estate and traveling to Europe with his nieces and nephews and enjoyed taking trips to the Carribean. He was an avid sports enthusiast and never missed a major football or baseball game on television. He rarely missed a day of swimming laps in his pool. Patrick "Uncle Pat" will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Faherty was predeceased by his parents William F. Faherty, Sr. and Anna C. Faherty. (Toman) and his bothers William F. Faherty, Jr., Michael J. Faherty, Sr., Peter Faherty and his sister Sarah Jane Philbrick. He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Saralan Faherty of Hackettstown, NJ and Barbara Faherty of Atlanta, GA, 13 nieces and nephew and 4 great nieces and nephew. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 18, 2015, 10:30 AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, 840 George Bush Blvd., Delray Beach.
