Patrick Francis Griffin, 81, of Delray Beach, FL, and formerly a 40 year resident of Bedford, MA, passed away on October 17, 2011. He was born in Springfield, MA. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving in Korea and Vietnam. Patrick was a decorated veteran receiving the Air Force Longevity Service Award, Good Conduct Medal, Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. He is survived by his wife, Karen Marie Griffin of Delray Beach; daughters, Michele (Craig) Hollenbeck and Lori (Lawrence) Anderson; stepdaughters, Kim Gorgens (Jerry Georgeff) & Jennifer (Miguel) Vazquez; grandchildren, Alex (Silvey) Hollenbeck, Peter (Sunnie) Hollenbeck, Vander Georgeff, James Vazquez, Nicholas Vazquez, and Anderson Vazquez. Patrick is predeceased by his brothers, Jerry, Jim & William and his sister, Anne McKenzie.
A memorial service will be held at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, 745 N.E. 6th Ave. (Federal Hwy. Northbound) Delray Beach, FL, on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 9:45 A.M. Burial will follow at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL. A luncheon will follow at Ellie's, 2410 N. Federal Hwy., Delray Beach.
