Paul J.
Cacchioli
July 6, 1927 – January 19, 2021
Paul Cacchioli, age 93, passed away on January 19, 2021 in his Delray Beach, FL home surrounded by loved ones. Paul lived a fulfilling life and is survived by his wife Edna, his children Edna, Donna, David, and Paula, his six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his sisters, Betty and Ann, and brothers, Peter, Aldo, and Joseph.
Paul was born in Jersey City, NJ on July 6, 1927. At the age of 18 he was drafted into the US Army where he was assigned to the United Nations as a driver escorting foreign diplomats. Shortly after his return, he engaged the love of his life Edna who he met at his place of employment Plastic Protective Inc. The two were married in 1952, leading to 68 blissful years together as husband and wife. While raising their family in New Jersey, Paul worked hard at Kohnstamm Chemical Company for 27 years before retiring. The couple then relocated to sunny Arizona for the next four years, which brought on Paul's well-known signature look: a white, wide brimmed cowboy hat. Thereafter, they moved to Florida to enjoy spending more time with family. Paul, aka Pop or Pop-Pop, was an exceptional saxophone player, delighting all who could hear him play. He also enjoyed listening to jazz music, playing cards with family and billiards with friends, and was always an active member of the Church. He was full of life and wisdom, respected, admired and loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Although he will be deeply missed, he leaves with us a legacy and many fond memories that will last forever. May he rest in peace.
A private graveside service will be held in honor of Paul for immediate family on February 2, 2021, followed by a small get together at the family's house.
