Obituary

Paul W. Kraemer, 93, of Delray Beach and originally of Glen Lake, MN passed away on October 30, 2014. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Mr. Kraemer served in the Navy during WWII. He volunteered for deep sea diving and marine engineering. He was assigned to clear sunken ships from the Atlantic Coast, Gulf of Mexico, Marshalls, Marianas, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

Mr. Kraemer returned to the Unites States from Okinawa in December 1945 and married Doris A. Carter, January 2, 1946. He worked in the family general store for a few months until accepting a chemical engineer job offer from the Minneapolis Gas Light Co. He completed his law degree at William Mitchell College and progressed to Vice President of Operations. The titles of President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board followed. He was a board member or trustee for 15 businesses, hospitals and universities.

Mr. Kraemer is survived by his son, Bruce (Mary Lou) Kraemer, 3 grandchildren, Eric, Brian and April and 3 great grandchildren, Isaac, Eli and Cassandra. He is predeceased by his wife, Doris in 2002 and son, Fred in 1970. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at the Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 NE 6th Ave. (N. Federal Hwy.) Delray Beach.
