Obituary

Paul A. Morrone, 75 of Delray Beach, Florida and formerly of Worcester, Massachusetts passed away on Saturday July 2, 2022 at his home.  Paul graduated from Classical High School, Worcester, Massachusetts and received a Bachelors Degree from Central New England College of Technology, Worcester, Massachusetts.  Paul served three years in the U.S. Navy as a draftsman for the Seabees, including one year in Vietnam.  Paul worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Civil Engineer for over thirty years.  He also worked as a Property Manager in Gulfstream, Florida for ten years.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen J. (Barrett) Morrone; a daughter, Elizabeth Hill and her husband Tim of Boynton Beach, Florida and two sons, Anthony Morrone and his wife Lynn, Michael Morrone and his wife Lyndi, of Richmond, Virginia; six grandchildren, Preston and Madelynne Hill, Kaylee, Brandon, Isabella, and Emilia Morrone; sister Karen Crawford and husband Chris, brother David Morrone and husband Michael Caramello of Worcester, Massachusetts; adoring Aunt Norma Sardagnola of Delray Beach, Florida; and nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends. Paul was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, a son of Dominic and Anne(Ferraro) Morrone.
Paul was an avid golfer and golf fan.  He started golfing at a young age with his best friend, Gary Russell.  He enjoyed many rounds of golf with his father-in-law, Charlie and his brother-in-law, Bobby.  For many years he played with his good friend, Paul Bougie and the "Italians" at Green Hill Golf Course, Worcester, Massachusetts.  His most meaningful and memorable golf outings were with his sons, Anthony and Michael.  Paul loved all sports, but especially his beloved Boston Red Sox.  Win or lose, he was an enthusiastic and loyal fan.
Paul and Maureen left Massachusetts in 2004, for the sun, scenery, and easy living of South Florida.  Paul's size was the opposite of his personality.  He was good natured, quick witted, and a guy you could always count on.  Paul was a loyal friend and helpful neighbor, a loving son and brother, a very proud father and grandfather, and a devoted husband for over 50 years.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph's Episcopal Church, 3300 S. Seacrest Blvd, Boynton Beach, FL on Friday August 12th, 2022 at 10:30am.  The service will be live streamed on Facebook.  Burial will follow at The South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road, Lake Worth, FL 33449.
