Pauline C. McMurrain passed away from COPD at home in Delray Beach on April 21, 2015 surrounded by her family.  Pauline was a true Native Floridian who was born on March 19, 1931 in Delray Beach to John I. and Bertha Thieme.  She attended Delray Beach High School class of 1949 and 1 week after graduation she married the love of her life, M. Nelson McMurrain who predeceased her in 2013.  Pauline and Nelson raised their family in Delray Beach and when the children were grown she went to work for the Palm Beach County School District where she worked for 10 years at Plumosa Elementary.  Besides her husband Nelson she was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Yura and her grandson Justin Yura.  Pauline is survived by her daughter Deborah Hotchkiss (Mike) of Boynton Beach, her son Nelson McMurrain, Jr. (Eunice) of Delray Beach and son Paul McMurrain (Philly) of Cape Coral, FL.  She is also survived by grandchildren Allen Yura of Hallandale, Matthew Hotchkiss (Stephanie) of Orlando, James Hotchkiss of Boynton Beach, Victoria McMurrain and Christopher McMurrain (fiancée' Łucja) both of Delray Beach, Shea McMurrain and Rylie McMurrain of Cape Coral, Fl, Ann Usman (Naveed) of Chicago and Kate Hotchkiss of Denver.  Pauline was also a great grandmother of Asher Hotchkiss, Lucas Hotchkiss, Maya Usman and Nadia Usman.  A special thanks from the family to Vitas Hospice who helped us through Pauline's final days providing both guidance and comfort to us while taking extraordinary and compassionate care of our Mom and to Dr. Peggy Schneider who took care of Pauline for many years.  The funeral service, directed by Rev. Tony Durante of Trinity Lutheran Church, will be held at 10:45 am Tuesday April 28, 2015 at Lorne & Sons Funeral Home, 745 N. E. 6th Avenue (north bound Federal Hwy), Delray Beach, FL.  The burial will follow at 12:45 pm at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S.
