Peter Edward Preston, 74, of Delray Beach, FL and formerly of Reading, PA passed away October 22nd, 2013. He was a Veteran of the US Army. Before moving to Florida in 1986, Peter owned and operated Pete Preston Enterprises. He was recently inducted into the Legion of Honor for Outstanding Service to Drag Racing (NHRA). He is predeceased by his sister, Linda Preston. Peter leaves behind his wife, Loretta; son, Peter, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; grandson, Luke of Philadelphia, PA; daughter-in-law, Lynne Preston of Philadelphia, PA; stepsons, Kent, Craig and Keith McNeal; sisters, Sally (John) Lipari of Rochester, NY and Kathy (Jon) Baldwin of King of Prussia, PA; 3 nephews, Michael, David and Joe Lipari of Rochester, NY; niece, Kate Baldwin of King of Prussia, PA; and 7 step grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 4th, 2013 at 10:00AM at Lorne and Sons Funeral Home, 745 N.E. 6th Avenue (Northbound Federal Hwy) Delray Beach, FL. Inurnment will follow with military honors at 11:30AM (Lane 3) in the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL.
